The Shells – Ausflug nach Neu-Friedenwald

It is summer in Neu-Friedenwald and the small town is buzzing as the annual tourist season is about to begin, marking not only the most exciting but also the most lucrative time of year. The merry preparations are disturbed by the sudden death of the town's golden girl Cecilia. Local authorities are quick to declare it "a tragic accident". Once the community has shaken off the initial shock, however, the talking starts and rumors begin to circulate. The young woman's death has torn a deep and gaping wound into the fabric of the town, and the first cracks in the suburban paradise's veneer begin to show, Triggered by the violent act, the inhabitants' perfect masks are slipping and its idyllic facade is crumbling fast.
